What inspired me to write
"DIGITAL RESURRECTION"

I've always loved reading, and for me, writing just felt like the natural next step. Even as a kid, I was scribbling stories. I once wrote an adventure about a group of friends, inspired by the Goonies. As a teenager and young adult, I wrote loads of poetry. Some of it was dramatic, as it should be, and some of it I hope never sees the light of day. Over the years, I read everything. Classics, fantasy, mystery, philosophy, politics, psychology. But crime fiction has always been my favorite. I used to imagine creating my own detective, my own little Hercule Poirot, who would eventually become my detective, Micah Sterling. But that's a different story. Then life happened, and kept happening. Until Monday I finally said, no more. Whether anyone liked it or not, I was going to write. And I did. It turned into an adventure. Into a messy, joyful, idea-packed journey full of late night laughs of my family as I read chapters out loud. And of course, coffee. I'm grateful, I'm proud, and now the book exists because I stopped waiting and started writing.

WRITING PROCESS

"DIGITAL  RESURRECTION!

One of the most delightful surprises while writing my book was sharing the story with my family along the way. After finishing a chapter, I’d send it to my dad and my aunt Alice, and we’d dive into it together over a video call. We had a lot of fun! We laughed loads as we read—often aloud—and their spontaneous ideas and feedback turned my writing into a shared adventure.

It was actually my dad who came up with the title Digital Resurrection, and my aunt who suggested the flying knife (but no spoilers—you’ll have to read it!). What made the whole process even funnier was the fact that I based some characters in the book on family members—or at least borrowed their names. Now all my little cousins are very enthusiastic and want a part in the story—but no one wants to be the villain!

Writing, for me, was a beautiful reminder that not only storytelling, but story writing too, can bring us closer and fill the journey with unexpected joy
